I haven't run in the past few days because of a crazy pain I've been feeling around the site of my daughter's escape. (read: c-section scar.) When I finally went in to the doctor, they wanted to test me for all sorts of things and scheduled me for an ultrasound to see what is going on. I was told to "take it easy" until they could rule out kidney stones and infection. So, I didn't go running with The Marianne. I was bummed. But they did inform me that I was clear of those two plights, so, I went to the gym and got in a short run before they closed. I actually ran for almost seven minutes straight, which is actually a record for me. Whoo! I can really tell how the time off has affected me, but, it was needed healing time.

I'm so disappointed with my Nike+. I have calibrated it several times and it is consistently off. I'm trying to not care but it really isn't working. I'm not getting the distance that I deserve. I mapped out the run/walk I did today when I got home and it wasn't only three miles. Ugh! I would blame the discrepancy on the fact that I have my sensor in a pouch and not in my shoe, but so does my running partner, and her's works fine. What the hell ev. At any rate, my knees are killing me. Tonight I'm going to make the hubs hook up the ice maker on the fridge so I can ice my knees pre and post run. That will help, right? Right. Also, I'm going to switch back to listening to my own music instead of this podcast. I hate the music that the guy uses and theres simply no motivation for me.

So, I would have posted my little graph like I did yesterday, but for some reason, Nike+ shows that I ran a straight line. Hmm... not so. At any rate, it was 1.15 miles. Also, my sensor is off, and it was really more like 1.4. LAME! Hey! Two lames in as many posts. Sweet. I wanted to run more, but I was really distracted by the test I had to go take. And by go take, I mean absolutely fail. Tomorrow, I will weight train and maybe do a light elliptical workout. Thursday = more running. P.S: Have you seen the Nike+ Minis? Um, super cute.

First Post!

Okay, so, my run today was a little disappointing. I thought I would be able to go longer, faster, but my knees were really starting to hurt, so I hate to pause a few times. I just hope that my running partner isn't getting held back because of my lameness. I hope tomorrow's stint goes a lot better and I have a lot of faith that it will. I really need to start weight training too.
